Public Comments United Chiefs and Councils of Mnidoo Mnising is a member of the Union of Ontario Indians (UOI)
Description (Service)
  • Established to work on all issues concerning Anishinabek in member communities 
  • Provides advice and support to strengthen families and communities 
  • Assists with youth education 
  • Assists in the Anishinabek Justice system 
  • Informs the UCCMM leadership of any recommendations
Provides guidance and advice in revitalizing and strengthening: 
  • Anishinabek language 
  • Customs, culture, traditions and ceremonies 
  • Traditional knowledge 
  • Traditional land use and resource management
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served Aundeck Omni Kaning First Nation ; M'Chigeeng First Nation ; Sheguiandah ; Sheshegwaning ; Whitefish River First Nation ; Zhiibaahaasing First Nation
Eligibility Must belong to one of the member First Nations within the United Chiefs & Councils of Mnidoo Mnising Territory
