Information regarding current forest fire dangers, forest fire activity and fire restrictions across the province:
Description (Service) The fire management program aims to do the following: 
  • Prevent loss of human life and injury 
  • Prevent and mitigate losses alongside economic and social disruption 
  • Promote understanding of the ecological role of fire 
  • Use fire to benefit resource management 
  • Manage vegetation and condition of their properties to help protect public safety and reduce losses 
  • Respond as quickly as possible to fires posing an immediate threat to high values, such as communities and infrastructure 
  • Manage fires to limit negative impacts and costs when values are not threatened or when the environment could benefit
Online Forest Fire Information 
  • Provides information online about the current forest fire danger, forest fire activity and fire restrictions across the province 
  • Offers an interactive map visually showing active fires, current fire dangers and restricted fire zones 
  • Maintains information on travel restrictions due to fire 
  • Provides information online regarding safe burning and building a safe camp fire
