  • Teacher accommodations (teacherage) are available on-reserve
Description (Service) Operates an elementary/secondary on-reserve school for community students  
  • Offers a full curriculum for students from Junior Kindergarten (JK) to Grade 12; approved and inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education 
  • Provides a daily breakfast program  
  • Teaches Native language as a subject course  
  • Offers separate wings for elementary and high school students, a school gymnasium, cafeteria, library, and computer room  
  • Offers cultural and traditional outings such as ice fishing, snowshoeing, canoeing, camping and wilderness expeditions 
  • Supervises a range of extra-curricular activities that can include sporting events, knitting nights and regalia making  
  • Provides bus transportation for all students attending Sakatcheway Anishinabe School
 
Special Education  
  • Provides special education assistance for students with learning difficulties  
  • Strives for maximum amount of integration with regular programs
