Public Comments Supper meals are provided through the Dryden Regional Health Centre
Description (Service)
  • Assists seniors to live independently in the community through the provision of nourishing meals at a reasonable cost 
  • Consists of soup, salad, entree and dessert  
  • Prepares meals according to individuals' diet requirements  
  • Provides a choice of lunch for 3 days and/or supper for up to 7 days per week  
  • Meals are delivered by volunteers who provide regular social contact and check on the health and safety of the client
Hours Office: Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm 
Meals on Wheels: Lunch delivered Mon, Wed, Fri 11:30 am-12 noon; Supper delivered Mon-Sun 4:30 pm-5 pm
Areas Served Dryden
Boundaries Must be living within the old Dryden town limits
Eligibility Ages: 60 year(s) and up 
 
Must meet one of the following criteria:  
  • The client is in receipt of or eligible to receive other long term care community services 
  • The client is isolated and requires social interaction or stimulation
Application
  • Initial assessment required for program enrollment  
  • Meals must be pre-ordered at least 48 hours in advance  
  • Cancellation recommended and appreciated at least 12 hours in advance  
  • Supper meals can be ordered from 1 to 7 days per week, including statutory holidays 
  • Lunch meals can be ordered from 1 to 3 days per week
