Reverend Eleazear Memorial School burned to the ground May 13, 2015; students now attend a temporary school opened in Jan 2016 to continue education until new school is built with a projected completion date of Sept 2018
Description (Service) Administers a public on-reserve school for elementary and junior high school students  
  • Offers a full curriculum for students in a temporary school from Junior Kindergarten (JK) to Grade 9; approved and inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education 
  • Administers the Anishiniimowin Immersion program (Languages Together) which promotes academic learning entirely in Oji-Cree during Kindergarten and evolving into a mostly English curriculum by the time students enter Grade 8 
  • Offers cultural and traditional outings such as fishing and trapping 
Special Education 
  • Provides special education assistance for students with learning difficulties 
  • Strives for maximum amount of integration with regular programs
Hours Mon-Fri 8 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4 pm
