Description (Agency) Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Lac Seul First Nation
Agency Services
Description (Service) Operates as the main Band Office for Lac Seul First Nation and offers programs and services to members living in Frenchman's Head 
  • Consists of 3 separate communities, Frenchman's Head (over 500 residents) on the mainland, Whitefish Bay (close to 100 residents) on Post Island and Kejick Bay (close to 300 residents) on White Pine Island; all communities are connected by road, causeway and bridge 
  • Also includes the small community of Canoe River where 1 family lives 
  • Provides several private businesses and the Lac Seul Conference Centre/Arena 
  • Supports a public area known as Archie's Landing in Frenchman's Head which serves as an entry to Lac Seul First Nation and a focal point for community activities and gatherings 
  • Publishes the Tibaachimowin community newsletter 
  • Provides a community gas/convenience store and a few churches 
  • Offers the Sahkatcheway Access Centre which houses Ontario Works and a Canada Post postal station 
  • Provides an Arena/Conference Centre facility
