  • IFNA is a member of the PoliticalTerritorial Organization of Nishnawbe-Aski Nation (NAN) 
  • IFNA member First Nation communities represent Treaty #3, Treaty #5, Treaty #9 and the Robinson-Superior Treaty in Northern Ontario
Description (Service) Provides support and guidance for the effective delivery and management of health and related programs and services to member First Nation communities 
  • Works to develop infrastructure and human resources at the community level for the delivery of the programs 
  • Provides advice and support to front-line health workers within each community including proposal writing, program development, administration and training and professional development 
  • Facilitates networking with external health bodies 
  • Assists communities in accessing funding and training opportunities 
  • Provides representation on various health committees

Areas Served Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation - Big Trout Lake ; Lac Seul First Nation ; Muskrat Dam First Nation ; Pikangikum First Nation ; Whitesand First Nation
Eligibility Must belong to one of the member First Nations within the Independent First Nations Alliance (IFNA)
Application Services are delivered to community members at the local level (Health Centres and Clinics)
Languages English ; Interpretive Services - Ojibway, Oji-Cree; available upon request
