  • Oversees the administration of health programs for the community 
  • Offers a stroke prevention program facilitated by two trained fitness instructors and two facilitators to lead stroke prevention workshops
 
Administers the following programs: 
  • Aboriginal Healthy Babies Healthy Children  
  • Brighter Futures 
  • Child Wellness 
  • Crisis Intervention 
  • Dental Program  
  • Diabetes Prevention Program 
  • Fetal Alcohol Spectrum/Fetal Alcohol Effects Program  
  • Home Care Program  
  • Maternal Health Program  
  • Mental Health  
  • National Native Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program  
  • Nishtum Headstart Program 
  • Prenatal Program
 
Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) 
  • Provides access to specialized medical care using videoconferencing and other tele-diagnostic equipment 
  • Allows specialists to remotely examine and prescribe treatments to patients in their home communities 
  • Reduces the need to travel to receive care
