Description (Service)
  • Operates a detoxification centre for community members addicted to Oxycontin 
  • Functions as a day program 
  • Provides a 4-bedroom house renovated into a detoxification centre that can treat 10 people at one time; includes a sauna on the property 
  • Offers the drug suboxone in place of methadone to minimize the effects of withdrawal
 
Program includes the following services: 
  • Intake 
  • Withdrawal treatment 
  • Counselling 
  • Aftercare
 
Also provides: 
  • Mental health and addictions counselling 
  • Referrals to other treatment centres and programs such as Nodin Child & Family Intervention Services in Sioux Lookout
Hours Health Office: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-5 pm 
Counselling and Aftercare: Mon-Sun 24 hours

Eligibility Members of Eabametoong First Nation struggling with addictions issues, especially OxyContin/prescription drug addiction
