Description (Service)
  • Provides information on the Family Court process 
  • Assists in documenting the history of abuse for family court proceedings 
  • Offers referrals to specialized services and supports in the community 
  • Teaches safety planning and assists with the development of the plans 
  • Accompanies victims to court proceedings when appropriate 
  • Supports a victim to follow through on lawyers requests and to understand and review documents 
  • Provides an opportunity to discuss next steps after a court appearance
