Description (Service) Provides housing subsidies and support for individuals with serious mental illness or substance use issues 
  • Provides rental subsidies for individuals receiving benefits from Ontario Works (OW) or Ontario Disabilities Support Program (ODSP) or other social benefits programs and have rental agreements that exceed their shelter allowance 
  • Acts as an advocate in developing agreements with landlords on behalf of the client 
  • Provides advocacy for client/tenant with the landlord on other rental and housing issues that may arise
Hours Mon-Fri 8 am-4 pm

Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up 
Individuals with serious mental illness and: 
  • Have rental payments that exceed their shelter allowance and 
  • Are either Ontario Works (OW) or Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) or other social benefits recipients 
  • Individuals with serious substance use issues and approved by program director
  • Intake process required 
  • Must provide proof of income and rental contract
