Description (Service) Provides inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care and services under the Mental Health Act
 
Inpatient Unit
 
Short-term acute care patient services include: 
  • Assessment 
  • Stabilization 
  • Diagnosis 
  • Treatment  
  • Education and discharge planning
 
Outpatient Services 
  • Consultations 
  • Education and outreach
Hours Office Mon-Fri 8 am-4 pm 
Emergencies Mon-Sun 24 hours
Areas Served Kenora District ; Rainy River District ; Includes Northern First Nation communities
Eligibility Ages: 16 year(s) and up 
 
Individuals with mental health problems that affect functional performance on a short or long term basis
Application Referral must be from a primary care Physician
Languages English ; Interpretive Services - Ojibway, upon request
