Description & Services
Description (Service) Ensures that Aboriginal offenders in custody have access to correctional and community based programs and services which address their needs in a culturally appropriate manner 
  • Provides advocacy of behalf of inmate to institution staff and officials 
  • Advises inmate of programs and services available and assists in accessing the programs 
  • Facilitates individual and group counselling 
  • Provides translation and interpretive assistance as needed 
  • Offers assistance with discharge arrangements 
  • Provides guidance and assistance in maintaining and/or finding family and community support services after discharge
Hours Sep-Jun: Mon-Fri 9 am-4:30 pm 
Jul-Aug: Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm

  • Individuals in conflict with the Criminal Justice System 
  • Open to all with a focus on off reserve Aboriginal peoples
