Description (Service)
  • Oversees various recreational programs, services and facilities 
  • Maintains an online community events/recreation calendar
 
Arena 
  • Offers hockey games for all ages 
  • Provides public skating sessions 
  • Offers broomball, volleyball and various community events during the summer months
 
Curling Rink 
  • Offers regular curling games and a variety of bonspiels 
  • Maintains and operates municipal curling club
 
Summer Recreation Program 
  • Provides various daily activities and outings such as hikes, sporting events, craft making and baking 
  • Maintains a bowling alley at the Community Hall 
  • Provides advertising for the programs on posters around town
 
Also organizes: 
  • An Annual Ice Worm Festival during the long weekend in Feb 
  • An Annual Black Fly Festival during the long weekend in Jul
Hours Office: Mon-Fri 8 am-12 noon, 1 pm-5 pm 
Summer Recreation Program: Jul-Aug: Mon-Fri times vary
