Description (Service)
  • Assists seniors and individuals with disabilities to live independently in the community through the provision of nourishing meals at a reasonable cost 
  • Prepares meals according to individuals' diet requirements 
  • Provides a hot lunch meal two days per week 
  • Meals are delivered by volunteers who provide regular social contact and check on the health and safety of the client
Hours Office: Mon-Fri 8 am-4 pm 
Meals on Wheels: available Tue and/or Fri delivered at noon
Areas Served Cutler ; Serpent River First Nation
Eligibility Serpent River First Nation elders (60 years and older) living in the community of Cutler and older adults and people with disabilities, who need physical, social, or emotional supports
Application
  • Completion of initial application required  
  • Meals must be pre-ordered at least 48 hours in advance  
  • Cancellation recommended and appreciated at least 12 hours in advance
Languages English ; Interpretive Services - Ojibway, available upon request
Fees Service - $4 per meal
