Public Comments Volunteers are reimbursed for mileage
Description (Service) Provides local and out-of-town transportation for eligible users to medical related appointments
Hours Hours are flexible to meet the needs of individuals
Areas Served Blind River ; Desbarats ; Echo Bay ; Iron Bridge ; Laird Township ; Richards Landing ; Sault Ste. Marie ; Spanish ; Spragge ; Sudbury ; Thessalon ; Will travel throughout Ontario if required
  • Frail, elderly and disabled individuals who are unable to take public transportation
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, with insurance coverage 
  • Must have clear background record check
Application Transportation Services 
  • Contact the office to make an appointment 
  • Clients are asked to provide at least 1 week notice of appointment, if possible
  • Print off the application and return the completed form by mail, fax or in person 
  • Contact the office for more information 
  • Must provide a clear record check which is free of charge when the application process to become a volunteer has begun

Fees Service - The cost to client is the portion of travel not covered by the Northern Health Travel Grant; Fee is based on kilometres ; Fee assistance available.
