Description & Services
Description (Agency) Participates in social development in the larger context of community planning by promoting community discussion on social and economic issues, information gathering and sharing, advocacy and social awareness
Description (Service) Works to advance the Cochrane District's individual and collective social well-being through action-oriented projects, leadership, research, awareness-building and innovation 
  • Operates the Leadership Training Network (LTN) as a Social Enterprise, offering leadership training workshops, particularly for the non-profit sector, throughout Northeastern Ontario 
  • Participates and partners with various community agencies in projects including: 
    • Timmins Syrian Refugee Sponsorship Committee 
    • Timmins Age-Friendly Communities Strategy 
    • The Timmins Film Society 
    • Poverty, Homelessness and Migration Project 
    • Seniors in Timmins 
    • Homeless Coalition of Timmins 
    • International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination 
    • Timmins Human Rights Wall of Fame
