Description (Service)
  • Provides pre-hospital ambulance care in all communities of Weeneebayko region 
  • Provides paramedic support services for First Response teams in region 
  • Fully accredited with Ministry of Health in Ontario (Emergency Health Services Branch)
Marine Transfers 
  • Coordinates volunteer marine ambulance transfer services between the summer months 
  • Provides the service only as a last resource to facilitate a patient transfer from Moosonee to Moose Factory or Moose Factory to Moosonee, if no Air Ambulance service is available
