Description (Service) Focuses on health promotion and prevention and oversees nursing services in Wabun communities
 
  • Delivers health care through clinics, health centres and nursing stations 
  • Provides nursing assessments of long-term clients 
  • Provides case management and advocacy for clients
 
Offers services in the following areas: 
  • Adult health 
  • Chronic disease and management 
  • Communicable disease control 
  • Community and home visits 
  • Foot care clinics 
  • Health teaching 
  • Immunizations 
  • Long term care 
  • Prenatal and postnatal teaching 
  • School health 
  • Well baby clinics
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served Beaverhouse First Nation ; Brunswick House First Nation ; Chapleau Ojibway First Nation ; Flying Post First Nation ; Matachewan First Nation ; Mattagami First Nation
Eligibility Must belong to one of the member First Nations
Application Most services are accessed on a local level at Band Office
Languages English ; Interpretive Services - Cree, Ojibway; available upon request
