Description & Services
Description (Service) Provides crisis support to women who are victims of abuse and violence 
  • Provides pre-crisis and post-crisis counselling 
  • Empowers women with education and support to enable them to make their own decisions 
  • Develops and maintains a support network for women 
  • Assumes an advocacy role within the support system 
  • Offers counselling through one-on-one sessions and/or group support sessions 
  • Raises public awareness by providing information seminars and workshops within communities on the issues of family violence

Eligibility Ages: 16 year(s) and up 
 
  • Women who have been physically, sexually, financially or emotionally abused and their children 
  • Any women in crisis

  • Counselling and support services are available to residents of the Centre and/or women who reside in the communities served by the Centre
