Description & Services
Description (Service) Provides counselling and support services to children and youth who have witnessed woman abuse and/or family violence 
  • Provides individual counselling and group counselling sessions 
  • Offers support and education for the emotional well-being of the child/youth 
  • Works within the school setting with children who have witnessed family violence 
  • Teaches techniques to mothers on how to manage children's behaviours 
  • Provides referrals to other agencies when required 
  • Provides information and awareness seminars to agencies, schools and the community on issues of family violence

Eligibility
  • Children of any age who have witnessed woman abuse and/or family violence 
  • Child/youth must be accessing shelter with mother
Application Services provided for children/youth who are at the Centre
Languages English ; Interpretive Services - Cree, available upon request
