Description & Services
Description (Service) Responsible for the delivery of training and employment funds and programs to the member First Nation communities  
  • Operates as a department within the Wabun Development Corporation and under the Aboriginal Human Resources Development agreement 
  • Helps Aboriginal people prepare for and find high-demand jobs quickly, as well as keep them in the long term 
  • Fosters partnerships with the private sector and the provinces and territories 
  • Supports demand-driven skills development

  • Skills development 
  • Training for high-demand jobs 
  • Job finding 
  • Programs for youth 
  • Programs for urban and Indigenous people with disabilities 
  • Access to child care
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served Beaverhouse First Nation ; Brunswick House First Nation ; Chapleau Ojibway First Nation ; Flying Post First Nation ; Matachewan First Nation ; Mattagami First Nation ; Wahgoshig First Nation
Eligibility Must belong to one of the member First Nations
Application Services are delivered on a local level through Band Office
Languages English ; Interpretive Services - Cree, Ojibway; available upon request
