Description (Service)
  • Advocates and supports individuals who are involved in the criminal justice system 
  • Links individuals to appropriate community services to ensure proper treatment 
  • Consults with court personnel and or Judiciary on matter relating to mental illness, addictions and or developmental challenges, and disposition 
  • Works with correction and local service providers to facilitate discharge planning for inmates returning to the community
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served Cochrane District ; Timiskaming District
Eligibility Ages: 16 year(s) and up 
Individuals involved in the criminal justice system who experience mental health, addictions and/or developmental difficulties
  • Accepts referrals from the Court, Crown Attorney, Defence/Duty Counsel, Probation Officer, community service providers, and self referrals  
  • Referrals can be made at any time during legal process
