Public Comments A volunteer project under the Timmins Family Health Team, Porcupine United Way, Timmins Economic Development Corporation, Mountjoy Independent Farmers Market, Mattagami Regional Conservation Authority, Anti-Hunger Coalition of Timmins, Porcupine Health Unit and community volunteers
Description (Service)
  • Offers parcels of land divided into small plots to provide local residents with access to fresh produce, support nutritional health, strengthen neighborhood connections, promote sustainability, and increase physical activity 
  • Works through volunteer community members who rent a plot for a minimal fee, then plant, tend and harvest the plots for a fresh food supply
  • The Kidd Operations Community Gardens Site (86 plots)  
  • Rotary Community Gardens - Northern College Site (36 plots)
