Description (Service)
  • Offers educational information and sessions about Alzheimer or related dementia  
  • Provides public presentations on topics such as a general overview of Alzheimer disease and related dementias, effective communication strategies, caregiver coping and brain health  
  • Provides information sessions for health care workers and community agencies caring for people with a dementia 
  • Provides Support, referrals, one on one supportive counselling for families and caregivers living with Alzheimer disease and related dementia's.  
  • Offers Learning Series Educational groups for caregivers and families living with dementia 
  • Offers Behaviour Supports Ontario Facilitator to support those living with responsive behaviors
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm
Areas Served Cochrane District ; Timiskaming District
Eligibility
  • Individuals with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia  
  • Family, friends, and other partners in care for a person with dementia  
  • Individuals concerned about memory loss or other cognitive changes
