Description (Service)
  • Provides clinical services on an individual, family, and group basis 
  • Offers a variety of services aimed at helping the individual and his/her family to cope and adjust to a new diagnosis and/or acquired trauma 
  • Assists families with difficulties related to a child’s diagnosis and/or treatment 
  • Provides counselling services for parents, guardians, children, youth, young adults, and siblings 
  • Offers transition planning services
 
Counselling services may include: 
  • Supportive counselling 
  • Fostering healthy relationships 
  • Creating a healthy balance 
  • Promoting a positive self-image 
  • Building Social Skills 
  • Strategies to deal with bullying
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served Cochrane District ; Timiskaming District
Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and under 
 
Children living with disabilities/physical impairments or have experienced acquired trauma and their famiies
Application Must be referred by CTC staff only
