Description (Service)
  • Assists seniors and individuals with disabilities to live independently in the community through the provision of nourishing hot meals at a reasonable cost  
  • Prepares meals according to individuals' diet requirements  
  • Provides a choice of lunch meals two days per week  
  • Meals are delivered by volunteers who provide regular social contact and check on the health and safety of the client
Hours Health Centre Mon-Thu 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Fri 8:30 am-12 noon 
Meal Delivery Mon, Wed 11 am-12 noon
Areas Served Henvey Inlet First Nation
Eligibility Members of Henvey Inlet First Nation residing in the community requiring assistance with meals at home due to age (55 yrs and older), disability, illness or injury

  • Requires initial request by letter for meals  
  • Cancellation recommended and appreciated at least 12 hours in advance
