Description (Service)
  • Operates a community-based food purchasing system that makes fresh fruits and vegetables available to community members (contents vary by season) for reasonable price  
  • Provides a large good food box once per month  
  • Offers a variety of fruit and vegetables such as carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, strawberries and apples 
  • Includes a monthly newsletter with easy recipes for how to use some of the produce in the box along with nutritional, storage and other tips
Hours Health Centre Mon-Thu 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Fri 8:30 am-12 noon

Application
  • Pre-order and pre-pay for good food box at beginning of month 
  • Pick-up available at Health Centre third week of month 
  • If food box not picked up by 3 pm on scheduled day, box will be given to another family 
  • If transportation is required for any events, must make arrangements with the Health Centre 3 days prior to the event
 
NOTE: Remember to return purple/blue tote bags to the Health Centre
