Description (Service)
  • Provides advice and assistance to community leaders and council in fire and related matters  
  • Assists with coordination and facilitation of fire suppression and safety training for member Volunteer Fire Departments  
  • Assists with completing fire reports which are submitted to Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) 
  • Advises member First Nations in maintenance of fire statistics and suppression methods
Hours Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served Dokis First Nation ; Henvey Inlet First Nation ; Magnetawan First Nation ; Nipissing First Nation ; Wahnapitae First Nation ; Wasauksing First Nation
Eligibility Must belong to one of the member First Nations within the Waabnoong Bemjiwang Association of First Nations (WBAFN) Territory
Application Services are delivered to community members at the local level (Band Office)
Languages English ; Interpretive Services - Ojibwe, available upon request
