Description & Services
Description (Service) Provides technical advisory and training services to housing authority and Band government personnel in all housing issues  
  • Inspects existing housing and various stages of new housing construction in member communities 
  • Carries out the mandate under the National Building Code (NBC) 
  • Processes applications for building and septic permits 
  • Reviews drawings to ensure compliance with NBC, First Nation by-laws and other applicable laws  
  • Offers advisory services with housing policies, contracts and lease agreements, home maintenance, site planning and budget control  
  • Offers Building Series Workshops  
  • Assists in the development and submission of housing proposals  
  • Assists with on-reserve Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) program delivery and funding applications 
  • Researches housing construction technologies for management and construction
Hours Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served Dokis First Nation ; Henvey Inlet First Nation ; Magnetawan First Nation ; Nipissing First Nation ; Wahnapitae First Nation ; Wasauksing First Nation
Eligibility Must belong to one of the member First Nations within the Waabnoong Bemjiwang Association of First Nations (WBAFN) Territory
Application Services are delivered to community members at the local level (Band Office)
