Description (Service) Provides employment consultants to provide personalized employment counselling
 
Offers a variety of services including: 
Career Counselling and Job Search Training 
Helps with career planning, job search challenges related to hearing loss, preparing for an interviews, and arranging for an interpreter or a live translation of speech to text for interviews
 
Employment Resources Centre 
Provides job listings, information about colleges and universities, training information, and TTY and fax machines for job search correspondence
 
Support on the Job 
  • Works with an individuals employer to make workplace accomodations 
  • Helps with finding assistive technology and communication devices such as TTYs, and offering communication workshops to communication barriers
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-5 pm
Areas Served Greater Sudbury
Eligibility Ages: 16 year(s) and up 
 
  • Individuals who are culturally deaf, deafened, oral deaf, or hard of hearing individuals experiencing barriers to employment 
  • Deaf immigrants whose first language is not English or ASL
