Description (Service)
  • Promotes the health of individuals through diabetes research, education, service and advocacy  
  • Hosts various fundraising events through the year 
  • Provides access to information and research studies on diabetes and related topics 
  • Hosts Diabetes Expos to help individuals prevent and manage diabetes
 
Advocacy
 
Advocacy efforts are guided by three central themes: 
  • addressing the burden of diabetes in Canada 
  • improving access to diabetes services, care and support 
  • achieving equity for Canadian living with diabetes
 
Volunteer Opportunities 
  • Recruits and trains volunteers to help around the office with educational and fundraising events
