Description (Service) Responsible for all lands and resources, and development that occurs within Wahnapitae First Nation traditional territory

Initiatives include the following: 
  • Waste Diversion Strategy, which oversees operations and management of waste generated within the community 
  • Environmental Management, which works to minimize environmental impacts; involved with water source protection, waste management, youth programs and GIS mapping efforts 
  • Representation on The Drinking Water Source Protection Program of the City of Greater Sudbury 
  • Tahgaiwinini Technical & Environmental Services Group, a Band-owned business that provides mining companies with a variety of environmental management services 
  • Mining Industry Working group 
  • Sale of firewood by the cord or bag for community members
