Description (Service)
  • Supports individuals with a serious mental illness/addiction or developmental delay through the legal process as well as their families, caregivers and friends 
  • Offers a voluntary, pre-trial procedure for individuals with mental health issues involved in the court system 
  • Provides consultation to the Crown, works directly with individuals, and links them to mental health services in the community 
  • The Crown may withdraw the charges after the accused completes the mental health diversion program 
  • Offers case management and release from custody services
Hours Mon-Tue, Thu-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm * Wed 8:30 am-6 pm
Areas Served Manitoulin District ; Sudbury District
Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up 
Adults involved in the court system who: 
  • Have a mental health diagnosis, or  
  • Present mental health symptoms
Application Referrals can come from the Crown Attorney, Defense Counsel, service providers, family, friends and self
