Public Comments If you have been affected by a personal disaster, such as a house fire, in Ontario, call 1-416-209-0432 Mon-Sun 24 hours
Description (Service) Helps people affected by emergencies and disasters in situations ranging from a house fire to a flood  
  • Accepts financial donations that are used to assist in local, provincial, and international disasters and emergencies 
  • Partners with local agencies to provide emergency food, shelter and clothing for up to 72 hours for family disasters such as house fires 
  • Works in collaboration with local authorities and other agencies to address the immediate needs of individuals affected 
  • Provides various resources and presentations on emergency preparedness 
  • Trains volunteers to respond to emergencies and disasters locally, provincially and internationally

Eligibility Anyone displaced from their home by a disaster
  • No application process 
  • Authorities such as Fire Department, VCARS (Victim Crisis Assistance and Referral Service) will usually call in for services, but individuals can contact directly if necessary
