Public Comments Women who become peer leaders attend a 12 week training course to provide them with the knowledge and tools to be positive role models for fellow peers
Description (Service)
  • Offers individual and peer support to women who have experienced violence and/or criminalization 
  • Provides women with the resources and supports to reduce re-offending and increase self-efficacy 
  • Encourages participants to become peer leaders, acting as mentors and advisors and being included in the development of workshops
Offers workshops on various topics, including: 
  • Abuse in the family 
  • Alcohol and drug use and abuse 
  • Anger management 
  • Building a positive self image 
  • Employment series 
  • Handling stress 
  • Healthy living 
  • Healthy relationships
Hours Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm

Eligibility Ages: 12 year(s) and up 
Women and young women who have experienced violence and either are, have been, or are at risk of criminalization
