Public Comments Prospective family members or community caregivers are first assessed. They're required to provide a criminal and agency background check, complete a personal interview, and have an assessment of their home and family
Description (Service) Works with a child's immediate family, extended family, or community to establish a permanent home for a child in care

  • Children who are experiencing neglect, abuse, or parental issues, such as substance abuse, domestic violence or mental health issues 
  • Kinship care providers can be a child's immediate or extended family or caregivers within a community
