  • Oversees the placement of children into adoptive homes 
  • Assists in the recruitment and training of adoptive parents and conducting home studies 
  • Assesses children to prepare them for adoption 
  • Provides counselling for the children, adoptive parents, and birth parents 
  • Provides support to adoptive parents once a child has been placed in their home 
  • Works to ensure that children are placed in a permanent, safe, and stable home and to reduce the number of placements that a child experiences
