  • Offers a free group exercise program twice a week for 12 weeks for adults 65 years of age and older who are concerned about their balance or have had a fall 
  • Exercises are designed to: 
    • build balance, strength and flexibility  
    • increase leg strength 
    • increase mobility 
    • practice and maintain good posture 
    • reduce the risk of falling
     
  • Program also teaches: 
    • simple exercises to do at home 
    • how to choose proper footwear 
    • how to adapt the home and adopt safe behaviour 
    • safely use medications 
    • be more active

Application Registration is required; participants will complete a brief assessment to ensure they are eligible
