Note: This program does not provide financial assistance to individuals living on a First Nations Reserve. Individuals can contact their Band Office to inquire about rent or utility arrears.
Description (Service) Assists individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in securing shelter or maintaining their current housing 

Offers assistance with the following: 
  • Emergency shelter solutions 
  • Rental arrears and eviction 
  • Energy arrears 
  • Cost for a move due to eviction, fire, or flood 
  • Replacement of furniture due to fire, flood, or pest infestation 
  • Rent or utility deposit in order to establish new housing 
  • Emergency decluttering and pest/bed bug infestation 
  • Heating expenses, including wood, propane, oil, oil tank replacement, furnace repairs, etc 
  • Other unmet expenses or needs that could directly or indirectly jeopardize their health and welfare and/or housing
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4:45 pm

Eligibility
  • Must have income below the Low Income Cut Off (LICO) as established by ADSAB
Application
  • After receiving the completed application along with all required documents, the applicant will be contacted 
  • Must first access the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) for help with any Hydro arrears before this program can assist
