  • Encourages all individuals living with arthritis to be informed and involved in their treatment process and to be an active participant when it comes to leading as healthful a life as possible 
  • Researches for underlying causes and subsequent cures for arthritis, while promoting the best possible care for both children and adults who live with arthritis 
  • Raises funds for research, patient care and public education  
  • Encourages and involves a growing number of volunteers

Arthritis Registry 
  • Delivers information, programs and services designed to suit the needs of individuals living with arthritis 
  • Provides an information package tailored to individual's request  
  • Communicates advance notices and invitations for arthritis events in the community  
  • Offers tips on living with arthritis
 
Arthritis Self-Management Program (ASMP) 
  • Exercising with arthritis  
  • Managing pain  
  • Eating healthy  
  • Preventing fatigue  
  • Protecting joints  
  • Taking arthritis medications  
  • Dealing with stress and depression  
  • Working with your doctor and healthcare team  
  • Evaluating alternative treatments  
  • Outsmarting arthritis and problem solving
 
Arthritis Rehabilitation and Education Program (AREP) 
  • Provides a personalized program for individuals with a confirmed diagnosis of arthritis
Hours Tue 10 am-4 pm *Thu 10 am-12 noon

Boundaries Surrounding communities within the district of Algoma
Eligibility Individuals suffering from or concerned about any form of arthritis

Fees Program - There is a cost for splinting, orthotics &/or assistive device materials recommended by the Arthritis Rehabilitation and Education Program (AREP) and for the material required for the Arthritis Self-Management Program course
