Public Comments Groups run three times per year: Fall, Winter, and Spring
Description (Service)
  • Teaches and reinforces social skills to high risk youth to help them make sound decisions, set goals and develop a sense of personal responsibility 
  • Works in partnership with all of the school boards in the Algoma District 
  • Provides community volunteers to lead three different groups and act as mentors to youth 
  • Provides skill-building training with an emphasis on social and cognitive learning 
  • Assists youth in developing social skills, drug and alcohol refusal skills, and problem solving strategies
Hours Office: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm

Eligibility High risk youth in grades 7-12
Application Self-referrals, or referrals from schools or collateral agencies are accepted
