Description & Services
Description (Service) Promotes the development of good mental health and provides mental health services 
  • Provides individual, family and group mental health counselling for issues such as but not limited to: addictions, anger management, anxiety disorders, depression, family violence, grief and loss 
  • Offers treatment services using both traditional and contemporary health care practices 
  • Coordinates services of a visiting psychologist 
  • Provides educational seminars and workshops to community members about various mental health issues
Hours Office Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served Atikameksheng Anishnawbek First Nation ; Batchewana First Nation ; Garden River First Nation ; Mississauga First Nation ; Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation ; Serpent River First Nation ; Thessalon First Nation
Eligibility Ages: 18 year(s) and up 
 
Must belong to one of the member North Shore Tribal First Nations
Application Services are delivered to community members at the local level (Health Centre)
Languages English ; Interpretive Services - Ojibway, available upon request
