Description (Service) Promotes awareness of youth issues and provides programs and services to enhance the lives of community's youth 
  • Oversees a youth center located in the upstairs of the Sports Complex 
  • Provides teachings, ceremonies and understanding of Anishnabek culture 
  • Organizes various sports events and opportunities such as basketball skills development and volleyball nights 
  • Coordinates movie nights, craft sessions and youth dinners 
  • Teaches classes for regalia making, traditional dance and explains the cultural meaning of both 
  • Provides presentations and workshops including but not limited to Bullying Awareness, Dangers of Smoking, Teenage Pregnancy and Safe Sex Education 
  • Supervises trips for youth to attend events out-of-town
Hours Office: Mon-Thu 9 am-4:30 pm, Fri 9 am-4 pm 
Youth Center: Mon-Sat 5:30 pm-7 pm (ages 10-12 yrs), 7 pm-9 pm (ages 13-18 yrs)
