Description (Service) Provides direct services to individuals in need of mental health and addictions support 
  • Provides individual and group traditional counselling 
  • Provides referrals to treatment centres 
  • Offers drug and alcohol assessments 
  • Offers educational programs
 
Aftercare provided for preventing reoccurrence: 
  • Counselling, sharing circles and support groups  
  • Regular phone calls and home visits  
  • Referrals to Band services, social services, detoxification and treatment centres and medical assistance
Hours Mon-Fri 8:30 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4:30 pm Sep-May  
Mon-Fri 8 am-12 noon, 12:30 pm-4:15 pm Jun-Aug

Eligibility
  • Members of Garden River First Nation living on the reserve and struggling with addictions and/or mental health issues 
  • Programs and services may be extended to others based on resources available and/or program/service guidelines
