Text with 9-1-1 service available in Wawa, Dubreuilville Twp, Hawk Junction Twp, Hornepayne Twp, Manitouwadge Twp, Michipicoten Twp, Michipicoten First Nation, and White River Twp, to enable the deaf, deafened, hard of hearing or speech impaired (DHHSI) community to converse with 9-1-1 call centres using text messaging. You must register for T9-1-1 with your wireless service provider, and you must have a compatible cell phone. T9-1-1 should only be used for emergency situations that require a response from police, fire or emergency medical services.

Provides police services focusing on the following: 
  • Assistance to victims of crime 
  • Crime prevention 
  • Emergency response, including canine tracking and search and rescue 
  • Law enforcement 
  • Public order maintenance (protests and riots) 
  • Provides criminal reference checks
